ExxonMobil Posts Record Profits...Again

Whole Foods To Stop Using Plastic Bags

Whole Foods marked recently announced that by Earth Day 2008 (April 22, 2008) they will have completely eliminated plastic bags from all their stores. Whole Foods gives these reasons for making a change:
  • It can take more than a thousand years for a disposable plastic bag to break down in a landfill.
  • Most reusable bags can be used thousands of times and there are so many reusable bag options!
  • Thousands of customers and Team Members support our Core Value to “care about our communities and the environment.”
Also, for every bag you reuse at a Whole Foods store, you will get five cents back. Or, you can purchase a reusable bag in the store for ninety-nine cents.
